Hot on the heels of release, RIFT’s first content patch introduces the River of Souls, where Ascended can challenge Alsbeth, Mistress of Discord and leader of the Endless Court.
Regulos’s minions have seized control of the Soulstream, guarding it with a vast army of walking corpses. Alsbeth’s necromancy tears souls from the river and reanimates them as willing servants of Regulos, making no distinction between villains, heroes, and even spawn from other planes. Since all deceased spirits find their way to the stream, Alsbeth has first pick of history’s most terrible warriors. The Ascended have one chance to slay Alsbeth and free the Soulstream, before an endless tide of Death spews forth across Telara.
